Career Transition
My career began as a front-end web developer during my internship at the Center For Energy & Natural resources while still enrolled in college. This internship helped sharpen my skills in bringing designs to life with clean, efficient code. The beginning of my career at Air Charter International and Wells Fargo was focused on the technical details of web development. I worked on building responsive, user-friendly interfaces that not only met client expectations but also pushed the boundaries by adding scroll based animation and interactivity on the web.
While I loved the precision and creativity of coding while at Wells Fargo, I began to notice a shift in my interests. I found myself increasingly fascinated by how a website could drive engagement, shape user experiences, and ultimately influence business outcomes with the use of Search Engine Optimization. This curiosity led me to explore the world of web marketing. I started to enroll in online courses and learn more about digital marketing.
My transition started at ASG Technologies, where I took on a role that combined my technical background with a new focus on digital strategies. Here, I was able to leverage my development skills to optimize the company website for search engines by implementing schema markup, improve user experience, and increase conversion rates. I launched and managed Google Search Ads to stay inline with competition. Considering the broader digital landscape and how each element of a website contributes to the company’s online presence, I learned to think beyond the code.
This passion for digital marketing grew stronger when Rocket Software acquired ASG Technologies and I joined Rocket Software. Here, I fully embraced the role of a digital marketer, focusing on crafting strategies that drive measurable results. I conducted competitor research to create a keyword strategy that improved organic search rankings. Helped in researching and redesigning Rocket’s homepage, improving user experience (UX) to reduce bounce rate and increase leads. I optimized Google Search Ads campaigns with data-driven insights, increasing conversion rate and reducing cost-per-click (CPC).
Today, I see my career as a fusion of two worlds: the technical precision of front-end development and the strategic thinking of digital marketing. This combination allows me to approach projects with a holistic perspective, ensuring that every digital touchpoint is not only functional but also impactful.
